About the event

Every Wednesday in December Embodied Empowerment brings you our Self-Care moment offered on a donation basis and led by our community of well-being practitioners.

This session is led by Tessa Nagtegaal - Relaxation Therapist

Invitation from During this Self Care session we will start with slowing down with the help of a meditation/relaxation exercise that allows the nervous system to calm down, come to a place of rest and make intimate contact with the space of Being.

Then, we will do an introductory practice of Self Holding.

Self-holding is about approaching your Self and body in a gentle and loving way, by holding parts of the body in a specific manner. After a bit, the body and nervous system start responding to your hands' safe and gentle contact. Sometimes this is felt by the subtle release of tensions or emotions, or simply by feeling warmth or an opening of more space underneath the hands.

Self Holding helps you feel more spacious, in touch with the body and connected with yourself.

This practice needs some time to really get a ‘hold’ of its depth, but even trying it out for the first time like in this online session can already help restore and deepen the loving connection with your body and yourself!

Tessa is a Holistic coach and Emotional Release facilitator since 2009, currently working in Bos en Lommer Amsterdam and online.
